Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) - III (Nursery, LKG & UKG)
Age Group: Typically 3 to 6 years
This stage is divided into three progressive levels—Nursery, Lower Kindergarten (LKG), and Upper Kindergarten (UKG)—each building on the skills acquired previously.
Focus Areas:
Language & Literacy:
With a stronger foundation in language, children progress from recognizing letters to forming simple words, reading basic picture books, and gradually beginning to write letters and short words. Storytelling sessions, phonetic games, and early reading exercises foster a love for language and books.
Environmental Awareness:
Engaging lessons and projects about nature, animals, plants, and simple science concepts help children understand their environment and develop respect for the world around them.
Social & Emotional Growth:
Children learn to collaborate, share ideas, resolve simple conflicts, and show empathy. Group activities and guided discussions promote teamwork, kindness, and building positive peer relationships.
Creative & Critical Thinking:
Children are encouraged to ask questions, think creatively, and solve age-appropriate challenges. Through art projects, pretend play, and explorations, they learn to express individuality, develop focus, and build problem-solving confidence.
Assemblies & Activity-Based Learning:
Involving children in assemblies and interactive sessions that reinforce key concepts and encouraging collaborative projects and hands-on exploration of various subjects.
Curriculum Study & Reading Time:
Expanding academic focus to encompass language arts, early numeracy, and environmental studies and dedicated reading sessions cultivate a love for books and strengthen comprehension.
Skating, Dancing, & Karate:
Introducing a variety of extracurricular activities to develop flexibility, balance, and discipline and allowing children to discover personal interests and new ways to stay active.
Holistic Development:
Strikes a balance between academic progress, physical well-being, and creative pursuits and equipping children with the confidence, social skills, and resilience needed for formal schooling and beyond.
In all three stages, the overarching aim is to ensure that every child’s early educational experience is positive, supportive, and enriching. Our curriculum and teaching methodologies are thoughtfully designed to meet children where they are, guiding them gently as they grow into inquisitive, confident, and well-rounded learners.
